Policies

Most people learn best when they have a goal, know what they are doing and feel good about themselves. School doesn't have to be a dull and boring place – in fact people learn best when they enjoy it. However, you can’t escape the fact that you have to make an effort
and work hard to do well.

At Cromer Campus no student has the right not to work because he or she does not feel like it. Your teachers will insist you do your best, will assist you with your work and will require you to complete class work, homework and assignments. They will be the first to praise you for real achievement. Never be afraid to ask your teacher for help.

Students who want to extend themselves or do something different in a course are encouraged to work in the Multi Media Learning Centre located in the Library. To do this you have to show that you are a person who can work and behave without continual reminders and supervision.

Learning is the responsibility of the student. You must ensure that you attend school each day and attend all lessons. Much of the work done in lessons is about building skills and competencies that develop with practice. Homework and revision are given to provide opportunity for practice and hence are an important part of the learning process.  All students are provided with a School Diary.

It should be noted that all students are issued with a copy of the school rules. Welfare and Discipline is underpinned by these rules. They are:

  • Follow the instructions of the teacher.
  • Be ready and willing to learn all you can.
  • Bring all necessary equipment to class.
  • Behave so you and others can learn.
  • Respect others and their property.
  • Wear correct uniform each day.
