TAFE

Students also have the opportunity to participate in TAFE delivered VET which includes the curriculum framework course in tourism and the extension course in information technology.

The Cromer Campus practice firm, Stacro Stationary, runs with the support of a local business Staedler, and participates in trade fairs.

Senior students of the Northern Beaches Secondary College have the opportunity to undertake TAFE courses as a part of the senior curriculum. Courses are available at :

  • Northern Beaches - Brookvale (NB)
  • Freshwater - located on site at Freshwater Senior Campus (F)
  • North Sydney (NS)
  • Bradfield (B)

All courses are taught in a four hour block from 2.00 - 6.00 pm. Students must make their own way to and from TAFE.

The following is a list of TAFE courses that have been available  to College students. Details of these courses can be found in the Senior Studies Guide which can be downloaded from this site. Students considering a TAFE course need to ensure that they they understand the requirements of the course and its category in regard to the University Admissions Index. Most TAFE courses are VET Curriculum Framework courses that give dual accreditation and include mandatory work placement.
